Bringing with him over 28+ years’ experience to SLS Productions with a reputation known worldwide.
Ed has forged a roll in the forefront of the event industry, since as far back as 1990. Having been Head of Video to a host of well-known global music acts, delivering live shows and DVD shoots across the world, his experience is second to none, he has become a seasoned and very dedicated professional.
His career started as a trainee audio engineer at Capital Radio in London, but after 4 years he decided that video engineering was more in tune with his motivations and moved careers and started at Creative Technology also in London.
Following a very useful career, Ed left CT in 2001 and formed his own Technical Events Company which he ran as Managing Director until he emigrated to the Middle East in 2010. His company had many multinational clients who took him all over the world servicing their requirements and having a team of technicians working for him allowed him to continue what he loved best which was concert touring.
Within Ed’s touring career he has worked for many artists on their global tours, from Bjork to Oasis, Guns N Roses to The Cure, and 8 years with Coldplay. He assisted Beyoncé with her first solo UK tour, George Michael on his 25 Live World Tour, Depeche Mode, Eric Clapton, and even the Bee Gees, covering over 20+ years in the music industry.
Outside of his music touring career Ed has worked as a Video Director, Production Manager, Cameraman, and Technical Director. He was Technical Manager to 7 pavilions to the buildup of the Shanghai EXPO in 2010, and more locally was the Video Director to IDEX in 2011 & 2013 plus also Broadcast Manager in 2017.
Ed hung up his touring boots in August 2014, when he rejoined Creative Technology Middle East driving new business throughout the MENA region. After a short spell at Production Technology as Business Development Director, he jumped at the opportunity to join the oldest AV rental supplier within the UAE, being SLS Productions.
